Why Electric Planes Are Such a Dumb Idea?

Electric Planes

Currently, land vehicles have begun to be created that are made from electricity, from cars, motorbikes, bicycles, to commuter line trains, which are also driven by electricity.

Of course, if electricity starts to dominate, then the idea of   making electricity-based mass transportation facilities is starting to be looked at. For example, China has made cargo ships with electric power.

Electric airplanes have also been created, in 2020 the aircraft, also known as the eCaravan, successfully flew unmanned in America. However, the plane only had a few passengers, about 10 people. So that's a small airplane prototype.

So it's like this, the battery and airplane fuel when compared the results are quite far, the storage of electrical energy is not as much as the current fuel, and that's a problem because the cost of making batteries is also quite expensive, so the economic calculation is less efficient and is considered a stupid idea. if forced to make a large electric airplane, which airline would want to use it?

Moreover, if you add battery power to lift the plane, automatically the load from the battery will also increase. To achieve the appropriate lifting power, but if you add more it will get heavier, so when will it fly?

For an airplane to fly, it takes 30x heavier batteries than avtur, so it's 6x heavier than the plane itself. But, it's a stupid idea for now. But what about the future?

As the times progressed, the civilization of the battery would be made simpler and could achieve the desired power, for example, smartphones used to have large batteries and small power capacities. Now the battery is small, but the capacity can be large.

It takes time and process, but in the future electric fuel is needed to maintain environmental ecosystems, especially air pollution. And electric airplanes have been created even if only light aircraft, or small aircraft. Because for consumers of electric-based vehicles, the cost of spending is cheaper than petroleum.

Of course, this idea is brilliant, and it's the dream of many experts who continue to work on building electric-based aircraft. Like the lithium-sulfur battery that was developed, because it has 5x the capacity of lithium-ion.

Now the idea is considered stupid, but in the future, it will be considered a genius and extraordinary. Because electric planes will become a common phenomenon but you are still alive or have you become a fossil when the idea was implemented by many airlines, is this still a question?
